Controller

American Shizuki Corporation (ASC) located in Ogallala, NE is the leading manufacturer of custom capacitors. As part of Shizuki Electric Corporation's worldwide network of manufacturing and service locations, ASC has been dedicated to providing advanced, high reliability film-based capacitive components and assemblies since 1945. We are looking for an experienced Controller who is willing to relocate to join our team in Ogallala, NE. The Controller is a key position for our company reporting directly to the COO. Summary: • The Controller is responsible for planning, developing, organizing, implementing, directing and evaluating the fiscal function and performance of ASC in the areas of: revenue, expenditures, inventory, cost of sales, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, inventory control, payroll, and monthly, quarterly and fiscal-year-end closings. The Controller will work with other administrative staff to make sure their areas of expertise (invoicing, receiving, inventory, etc.) are accurately processed within the existing software systems. This person will also maintain proper financial controls as mandated by GAAP and the Sarbanes Oxley requirements. As an Executive on the Management team, the Controller will also be responsible for providing strategic leadership to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned. • Responsible for all areas relating to accounting functions and financial reporting, including the daily, weekly, monthly, and annual accounting tasks and activities, including the month-end close, variance analysis and monthly reconciliations. • Oversee a multitude of accounting activities including AP, AR, payroll, benefits, general ledger preparation, financial reporting and analysis, inventory and purchasing. • Understand and analyze key cost components of the manufacturing process to ensure labor, materials, and overhead are properly allocated to inventory. Analyzing costs and preparing reports comparing standard to actual production costs. • Annually review and establish appropriate standard cost for upcoming fiscal year. • Preparing, monitoring and maintaining capital budget requests and spending. • Being a liaison to the external CPA firm, responsible for managing the audit and tax information requests. • Revising, updating and implementing accounting policies and procedures as needed. Maintain a system of internal controls that will ensure company assets are safeguarded and that all financial reporting is prepared with all financial policies and US GAAP standards. Job Requirements: • BS degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university with supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. • 4-7 years manufacturing experience with financial reporting, general ledger, cost systems, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow. • Strong working knowledge of GAAP. • Strong computer skills including MS Office. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to manage change, accepting the challenges in transitioning the organization.

Critical Test Design Engineer

American Shizuki Corporation is now accepting applications for a Critical Test Design Engineer. A Critical Test Design Engineer would be required to do the following: •Conduct a variety of electronic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical tests on electronic systems, sub assemblies and capacitors to ensure that they function per their corresponding specification and/or test standards. •Perform destructive analysis in order to determine the root cause of a capacitors failure and use professional writing skills to compile reports for both internal and external use. •Utilize laboratory testing and/or analysis to make capacitor design changes that will enhance the performance and competitiveness of the product. •Control and maintain compliance records including UL, CSA, ROHS, WEEE, Reach and Conflict of Minerals. •Write a thorough and and well defined test plan based on equipment capability and agency testing standards for development of capacitors and raw materials. •Utilize engineering design tools and exceptional interpersonal skills to interact with customers and develop new capacitor designs. Critical Skills Required: • Professional writing • Exceptional interpersonal • Root cause analysis and problem solving • Simple circuit design and circuit theory • Detail oriented • Project management • Self motivated Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Prefer 1-2 years related work experience Hours are Monday - Thursday 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM and Friday 6:00 AM- Noon. Production Associate

Production associates are responsible for performing proper assembly of parts by following written procedures, drawings, verbal instructions, and established standards.
